Does it turn you off when I make the first move?
Does it scare you that I may not always be that ‘smooth’?
Does it make you want to turn away and leave me behind
When all I want to do is be with you for all of time?
I can't help that I have fallen for you, but I can stop myself
from falling in any deeper
I only want to be with you, even if it means that these steps
will get steeper
I know that I can be a little crazy sometimes, but so can you
I may not be all that suave and cool, but neither are you

We may be different in many ways, but in so many ways we
are the same
We may not know where we plan to go years from now, but we know
that we will always be the ones to keep each other sane
Who knows what will become of tomorrow? Let's just live today
we will prepare for all of life's beauty and sorrow, but we will
be joyous to dance this way

Does it make you want to run off and hide whenever I tell you
how I feel?
Do you ever realize how wonderful this all is; do you ever let
yourself deal?
I wonder sometimes, about myself, about you - I wonder what
this is really all about
But some things in life are not logic-based, some things just
seem to follow that dream-catcher route
We may be strange companions…once strangers from a far
But we fell in love along the way- we both saw and caught
that shooting star
The sign, the moment, the reality of it all
The dream that once took place, and which made us ready to fall

We may be different in many ways, but in so many ways we
are the same
I may not know where I plan to go years from now, but I know
that you will always be the one to keep me sane
Who knows what will become of tomorrow? Let's just live today
we will prepare for all of life's beauty and sorrow, but we will
be joyous to just dance this way

I know we have our differences, for we probably always will
But we are one soul on the inside, which to me, is such a
wondrous thrill
You have those ideas which you love to let free
I have those dreams which you share with me
You are the one that brightens up my day
I am the one that sends sunshine your way
Together we are dancing, dancing to our own beat
We are both wondrous...for we always will be

We may be different in many ways, but in so many ways we
are the same
You may not know where you plan to go years from now, but you know
that I will always be the one to keep you sane
Who knows what will become of tomorrow? Let's just live today
we will prepare for all of life's beauty and sorrow, but we will
be joyous to just dance this way

Dancing this way...is what life is all about
It's what matters most and what makes you
take that forbidden route
It's what sets you free and leads you right to love
"Dance this way" he once said to me...and we flew away,
bitter sweetly, on the wings of a dove
