Across the street & behind,

Both pairs are really fine,

Lew & Marie are there when needed,

For food, for friendship & just to talk,

Never do they ever of companionship with me balk...

I don't see much of John & Katie who behind reside,

But today all my snow, that was blocking me in,

Was shoveled, blown & brushed away by these two,

They may not get over much, but when they do,

They sure do more than enough, more than their share...

So if you think you have good neighbors, remember,

What mine are willing to do, as hard to believe as it is...

Beautiful, Ed. What are neighbors for? If I lived closer, I'd be there to annoy ya. :)

This is wonderful to hear. We are lucky when we find such neighbours Ed, they become part of the family. All our nrighbours are like that and we claim we are NEVER going to move. Take care and it is sure nice hearing from you.

glad to see you doing better Ed, the snow here is in the almost three feet, too much for me almost broke down, but I finally dug out. Your good neighbor poem was right on time because luckly I ended up with good nei's on both sides, take care

Good for them!! A n d. you. You are a great neighbor yourself, or they wouldn't have done what they did.

The first snow of the year, I heard scraping sounds out front and went to investigate. My neighbor Graig and one of his little boys were diligently shoveling snow off our walk! My husband has bad knees and his balance isn't good. I am neither young nor athletic. Touched my heart, let me tell you.

What would we do without good samaritans? Not only do they help us get through bad spots, they renew our faith!!'

Thank you for sharing this.

Stay warm & cozy,

Always amazed at the kindness of strangers. Who knows, they may be angels in disguise. So nice of them! You must bring them a basket of goodies when you're feeling up to it, Ed...

Good to see you back...Lin

Excellent write
some neighbors are worthy of praises
some won't even look in one's direction
when they see you come out......
I have of both in my area, the good ones
make me forget the creeps
Peace Brother
