Remonds me of the early days on the farm when I was growing up. You hit it on the nose.
Your mother loved the Green Mountains of VT and loved to come here in the late summer when our mountains were in their glory.
Nice job Mary. |

Hi MaryGrace, You've done a beautiful piece of writing. The Chamber of Commerce at both the state and local level applaud your poem and I suggest you submit for publication to as many as you have addresses for.
I was born in Vermont in 1933 and left in 1951 and have only returned for a few days visit during the summertime. Every so often there is a nice day in VT such as you describe. The other 362 days all have faults many of them serious. I never learned to grin and bear them as
the local stoics and liars do. s/henry |

| Your descriptions are wonderful and paint a picture of a place most folks might want to visit. I've never been to Vermont, but I've heard it is a beautiful state. Start packing, lady, and do enjoy. |
