My successfully published holiday poem for the autumn.

Risen o’er the here, the there, and all

That loosely shaded a cloudy gray

Like stone to mark each ebb of day

Of one year ere our Celtic new

Skybound for eons, having flew

In torrid eves filled a cold Hades fall

Luna, toned as rust abright in sun

Whence glistened, darting hills and dales

Bestowed the chill entrenched by gales

A heatless torch from high in rule

In new, crescent, three-quarters, full

Suitable shine on ancient spring harvests done

Forked by trees stripped barren, true gloom

Displaying shrouds, she glows on

Bestial hopes gazed out, incognito, anon

Like the lighted candle, a spectral light

Concordant to that which she this night

Shall kindle autumn’s orange nocturnal sun in loom
