Bad Days (For Karen)

For the most overworked, loving and caring sister-in-a-law a man could ever have after another one of "Those Days."

BAD DAYS (For Karen)

Heard about the accident,
sounds to me like another mess.
Another one of those bad days,
would also be my guess.

You’ve had more than your share,
of the bad ones I’d say,
those when you’re called upon
to save another day.

Bad days are the speed bumps
in our life long road.
The one’s you have to get over
if you’re to get to the gold.

You've always kept the faith,
throughout thick and thin.
Now you’re being called upon
to do it once again.

You’ve always been the muscle
holding everything together.
However big the storm,
you’ve allowed them all to weather.

You've spent your whole life
being every one else’s glue.
It’s important you keep believing
good days are awaiting you.

You need to trust me now
and believe me when I say,
life still holds for you
the sweetest judgment day.

Take comfort in that,
cause I’m pretty darn sure,
this was just one more test
you were meant to endure.

We just have to know,
when the final tally is done,
every test we’ve passed
is another battle won.

When you finally find the gold
at the end or your rainbow,
they’ll fit you with a halo
and your soul will be aglow.

Oh so sweet. Its sure to touch Karen's heart and help her embrace the tough times for the gold they produce.

How sweet! I bet this is exactly what she needs to hear to feel better. It seems to me that you're not only a great poet but also a great brother-in-law.
