Dark Hippie

The dark hippie walked the streets of the city alone
He was just trying to find his way somewhere back home
Frustrated at his troubled life, but his heart was in a good place
Sad at all the violence he saw on television in the world, a minority to his own race
Turned the corner at the busy intersection of the town square
Bumped into a pretty lady who was also looking into space very unaware
A collision of two lost souls meant destined to meet at that exact time
Got to talking, and realized why walk alone in the city of slime
Picked a random destination from the air a nice location in its prime
All of the sudden the dark grey sky began to turn a light blue
The sun broke through and shined brightly on the destined once lonely now together two
The store windows once bare were now colorfully dressed with change and hope
Decorated with paintings of art subconsciously telling the two where to go
Decided to get married, and moved to the rugged country to start a fresh life
Had a few children who grew up to be leaders in their community without any strife
Now the two are happy grandparents to a beautiful baby boy sent straight from god’s tears
Those gloomy days for that dark hippie are now over as he and his mate live out their golden years
The two who found love eventually died days apart without any fears
