A Bleeding Clock

From a thirteen billion light years away galaxy the word forever maybe could make some kind of sense. From a hundred (maybe)years old man, forever should sound like nonsense...

Stabbed by time a clock is bleeding by the sewers,
the coil spring power moving its heart is all but gone,
if you listen well you can hear the tiptoeing seconds,
trying getting away unnoticed because your time is done.

Yes it slips away too fast Georg. You have captured that fleeting feeling in your poem.

I Can certainly relate to this one Georg...it is honest and real, as our winter of life approaches...the time seems to speed by in a rush of wish I had of...

Georg, the hand that sweeps relentlessly across the clock's face is driven by the core of the cosmos my friend -- we, are merely temporary observers of the process -- this is great work Georg -- most enjoyable reading -- peace and love be with you -- JM

Just bigger clocks on the other side, all of them tell time, when they have their period, it's a natural cycle, nothing to worry about.
I like the way you squeeze a whole lifetime into this brief moment of a poem, it's almost a post mordem sort of, bless you! Jasmin Horst

Georg, I am really enjoying this new "you"! I mean these snappy little concept writes that engage the mind in a Through The Looking Glass way. My favourite living poet is Charles Simic, who is pretty far-out magic realist in his ideas. Do give him a go if you're not familiar with his writing. This latest work of yours reminds me somewhat of his. WTG! :)) xx
