One of my best friend's cats, Midnight, passed away yesterday. He will be missed and was very much family. :(

We'll see you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Wait for us ...

Image (c) 2005, Karla Dorman

No one should ever have to see
children crying.  Tears pouring,
hearts breaking, all because of
a cat.  No --- more than that:  he

was family, headbutting his way
into our lives, wrestling with his
brother and sisters, and yet, you
were a cat with dignity.  Our days

will be darker without you here ---
Midnight.  You sleep the eternal
rest.  You are loved; you are missed
--- it is for you we shed these tears.

I love this piece Karla. Yes, pets are members of the family too. I have two dachshunds at home. Actually, they run the god-damned place; but that's another story. Great writing.

Midnight will never be forgotten; that much is true. He may have been only a cat to a lot of people, but to those who knew (and loved) him, he will never be forgotten! Beautiful tribute to the grieving family and especially to a special little furry friend who will live in our hearts forever! Very well penned, and the piccy is perfect!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( *tears!*
