A young lady has come, Keighley is her name,
And since she's come, life for Jodie isn't the same.
A neighborhood teen, she comes every day
To see Jodie and to spend some time in play.
She reads to her, holds her in her arms,
And right away, Jodie turns on the charm.
She doesn't care that Jodie is disabled; oh, no...
She is there to support her and love her so.
She is gentle when she feeds her her meals,
And she always grins when Jodie's laughter peals.
She doesn't mind it when Jodie has an accident;
Each gesture she does for her brings confidance.
For she wants to work with the ill or handicapped;
And it is because of this that her future is mapped.
She loves kids like Jodie, Johnny, and Ronee';
She could be around them each and every day.
When Jodie becomes ill, Keighley is always there;
She wants to let her know that she really cares.
She would make a fine nurse; this is easy to see,
For she has given these kids a touch of dignity.
Yes, Keighley is an angel, and is much more,
She may be a teenager, but she is not a BORE!!
If more teenagers today had compassion in their heart like Keighley.....

|Teenagers have been given a bad rap (understandably so) but there are those exceptions who do posess genuine compassion for others and will always lend a hand. A lovely tirbute to Keighley|
