At work the other day, I had just met
A pretty young lady I shall never forget.

Lisa was her name, and she was only 32,
Had a birthday, but death would soon ensue.

She had terminal cancer, she was oh, so sick,
But despite it, she had hair that was red and thick.

She was very cachexic, had an I.V. line in her arm,
But she was a lovely lady, full of love and charm.

She has the prettiest smile and the biggest eyes,
And when I saw her, my heart sure did sympathize.

My heart was breaking, I hated to see her so sick;
Each look at her caused tears that wanted to prick.

We sang "Happy Birthday", wanted her to smile,
But in my eyes, the tears were starting to pile.

I tried to keep from crying, but I didn't do very well;
I am sure this young woman was going thru hell.

The only good thing: She had Jesus in her face;
And she knew that the pain would soon be erased.

She doesn't have much time; she is near death,
And it won't be long before she has her last breath.

But she is going to heaven, to be with Jesus,
And to those who knew her, how this pleases!!

Lisa..I will never forget you. May Jesus continue to give you the courage and strength that you have shown during your struggle. You are an inspiration, and you will never be forgotten!! Lisa, I just met you, but I love you, and I am sorry you are suffering so. God help you and your family!!!

Keith and Linda--you are both in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to see you all again; and I hope the Lord gives you the strength and courage to continue!! I will never forget you either, and I love you both, too!! ((((HUGS)))) to you guys!! Love, Karen Lynn. >tears<

Keith and Linda are already well acquainted with death..they lost twin baby boys (both stillborn); this will be the third child they will have lost. (They had five children total.) The pain on their faces was clearly evident, and it broke my heart!!

How sad. Oh Karen, you are a dear. this is going to give Lisa some happiness to see herself in poetry.

Let us not lose hope. Let us pray for her Karen. Miracles do happen. Let us pray and let our faith work for Lisa. Tell all your friends to pray for her.

Tell Lisa a lot of people are going to pray for her. May God bless her and you too dear.

And Lisa Happy Birthday to you and be Brave as you probably are already.

Love from India - your friend Joel
