Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
It is better to weep with wise men than to laugh with fools.
Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish.
Euripides (484 BC - 406 BC)
Our wisdom comes from our experience,
and our experience comes from our foolishness.
Sacha Guitry (1885 - 1957)

|Vickie, thanks for sharing these tidbits of wisdom -- here is another that I am partial to -- "is binn beal 'na thest" (a silent mouth is melodious), my father had to repeatedly remind me of this --peace and love be always with you --Jon Michael|

|Love that picture, sadly Alice In Wonderland gave me the bad dreams as a child and so doubt if I will go see new version...no one to hold my hand when I get scared. The wisdom of the phrases though are timeless and true...
