A walk to the park.

This morning I took my daily walk at about three

There was a little nip in the air

I had walked three uneventful blocks

Nobody was outside except for a skinny girl

Judging by her appearance, I figured she was a crack abuser

She walked up to me and said do you want to date

No thanks was my reply to this poor girl with issues galore

I kept on walking until I reached the park and sat down on one of the park benches

As I sat there the girl disappeared from my view

It was just I in my loneliness in the vacant park

A stray dog walked up to where I was sitting and sat down at my feet

He stayed there a minute without moving

Then to my amazement I heard a voice say, do you come here often

I looked around to see where the voice was coming from

Then I realized I was reading the dogs thoughts

I placed my hand on his head to pet him

That is not necessary the voice said

I need no affection the voice also said

I am here for you the voice continued to converse

I spoke aloud to reply, how is this possible I said

Do not concern yourself with that the voice replied

It then said, I have a message for you

The voice continued, you must stop writing of love

But why I said aloud

Because the voice said the end is near for you

Suddenly I felt an extremely sharp pain in my chest

I lost consciousness and awoke in my bed

But I was alive I think

Because I seen a long narrow tunnel with a bright light at the end of it

I could see a tall slim man with long facial hair standing there

He was smiling towards me

Come to me Tony the man said

Beverly awaits you

Tony this is a very powerful write filled with suspense and hope! I am thankful to God that you are still here, and hope that you will be for an even longer time! What a beautiful gift you have and your work on earth is not yet complete, there is still more for you to do! I must must pray for you even more earnestly and that God your Father would continue to watch over you, and keep you safe under His wings of protection! Be encouraged Tony and stay prayerful!

Much Love,

You did not cross over, you are alive, it is not your time yet..That dog, he was your inner voice.. You must go with all the gusto you can, for we do not know when the last breath that we breath will be. Enjoy every moment of your day and embrace it all as if it is your last and you will have beautiful memories to take with you..

Go in Peace, love, and angel light,

Tony! As I started to read this quickly, I couldn't quite get the feel, but when I slowed down and read it slowly, it is lovely to read. It seems more like many stories unfolding, rather than poetry, to me. I see this as part of a great compilation--a book, friend. I love this, as it is, however.
