I deserve more

My emotions are flowing like the blood in my veins
Causing an overload of signals to my brain
Confirming my suspicions, you've explored someone else sexually
Forgetting our vows, which obviously means more to me
Pain from your infidelity cuts my heart like a knife
So I decide that I don't need you in my life
You took our sacred vows and abused them in such a horrible way
That even if you promise to be faithful I wouldn't want you to stay
Facing and accepting what my eyes have confirmed
Growing from this experience will be a lesson well learned
Because if love is what I lack God can provide that
And mend my broken heart and restore the faith I lack
I've learned how to love myself
Because the reality of it is
That if I don't love me then I can't love anyone else
