A day passes on, but in the brain events still act upon, until the day we're dead and gone, please leave me alone.

Sorry to poetically play
even mention this to say
but the past won't go away
Only the occuring day
In the head it's here to stay
Of course we learn to
live on either way
but it's foolish to continue
to pay
If it's bad enough maybe
we should pray
It might help with the decay
Regardless the mind will
still stray

Many of us try hard to deal
but past horrors continue to steal
They appear in nightmare dream
if bad enough we will scream
During the day time hours
wide awake memories sours
rob us of pleasing hours
like the thorns on rose flowers

Soldiers men of war
never rid themselves of scar
Policemen also suffer mar
Just plain people exposed to terror
also suffer from its horror
Children and others abused
also become bruised
especially after they have
been used
they walk around confused
Hardly anyone breaks totally free
from past horrors that they
experience and see
The horror show is always free
with a never paid up fee

I agree with you, Grady! :o( There are so much truths in these lines.

I think in the end, we'll all get our just rewards-- what we endure here is just but a moment, but afterwards is ALL ETERNITY! --now that's a long time to suffer for your own misdeeds!

Be good now. --Charlie

so much truth here-it is difficult to get over and sometimes to forgive ourselves the past
