Sometimes I wish I could be as angry as Alanis was on her debut album. Anger can be a powerful motivator.

Anger of Alanis

How did I so quickly forget

The anger of Alanis Morissette?

Screaming and kicking against

The pricks like St. Paul with regret.

Bright light shining down so hard

Scales covering swollen eyes

With one hand in her pocket

Her left hand hearing a voice.

On the road to somewhere

All falling down at the sound

Killing those who don’t believe

The same damn way St. Paul does.

Off the horse, hard on the ground

One hand waving a peace sign

A rocket launcher in the other

Death lines the road to Damascus.

Oh God, relight my anger

Pull the frozen trigger of love

In one hand wave a bright light

With the other cause war to fall.

hatred of injustice and ignorance should never die, love of humanity should be eternal.

A strong write, and as you say, "anger can be a powerful motivator". (More times than not to do the devil's work.) However, I've never seen anything positve coming out of my anger or anyone else's. I think anger is destructive. It takes over the control of decent folk and causes them to react in ways that certainly earn them no points; but rather, creates problems. I've always told my son, "when you become angry, you lose your mind and thereof, your control."

You have written a mighty powerful poem...Anger does not do anyone any good, it is a negative force in life. anger can wipe out relationships and it can harm you physically...I hardly ever get angry, but when I do, I breath and calm myself down and let it go!!!!!

Much peace love and light,

interesting-i think the emotion of anger, when acted upon positively, gets things done!

Anger, of course, is a negative. When we can turn a negative into a positive, just like Alanis did when she released her emotions on a recorded piece of art, she shared with all of us who enjoy her, "Jagged Little Pill"...war is anger...too much anger...a destructive force that could so easily be erupted into the joy of love...I think that those types of people, rulers, leaders and such just don't like peace and love...I can't imagine why...war takes so much energy to fight...love is so much easier...Alanis needs to read this...I think she'd find it interesting, Dayvid...be well.

Decoding of the Lao-zi (Dao-De Jing): Numerological Resonance by Alexander Goldstein

As a canon, the "Dao-De Jing" is a symbolic work and its symbols transcend its context. When this is properly understood, all 81 sections of it divided into nine divisions and two ..
