Saw a prophecy
As a child.
‘She’ll do nothing,
Too un-seemly.’
Saw a religion
As a child.
Veiled-decisioned
Too wo-man-ly.
Saw a world
As a child,
Robin-egged in blue
Too otherly.
Saw a word
As a child.
‘She’ll do nothing,
Too samey…’
Too raw,
Too old,
Too new,
Too bad.
‘You’re too funny,
Too too sunny,
Too happy and such,
If such is happy’.
Too new,
Too raw,
Too old,
Too bad.
Saw a prophecy,
Was a child…
Too funny, as such,
If funny is happy.
Too bad,
Too raw,
To old,
To new…

And,as most prophecies fail - so did the she won't do anything too un-seemly as you fling verses back at that notion.

Children can be so fragile
In so many ways
I found this poem from "Too sad" to "Too glad"
Which is "So real" how life can be.
Enjoyed reading immensely.
