So the Ravens cry foretold.....

Miles of soul we shared,
Some straight, and some with curves,
Nineteen miles times seven,
And now, he is in heaven,
The ravens cry, this morning,
Another friend he knew,
His cry it tells me what to do,
To wear the black robes of mourning,

In my arms, he laid, snuggled,
Tiny whimpers here and there,
One last happy look at the garden,
Once more, oh how he struggled,
I knew then, and surely, he did too,
We cried in our hearts,
After all, we are boys,
We knew just what to do,

Many a mile I carried him,
Solemnly walked him in the garden,
Soon, the hours grew long,
And his sight grew dim,
Then, the last walk, the road of death,
The longest way,
Loved and snuggled in my arms,
Soon with Jasmin he will play, God bless!©31/05/2010

Oh how I know this pain. Yet he left in love and peace thanks to your special heart. Though broken for now, the depth of its goodness will allow you to smile again. Patrick

Oh Jasmin how your heart aches for blessed little Tonga. I am so sorry to read this and I can relate to how painful it is to lose such an endearing loved one and friend. Tonga and Jasmin together will be, watching closely and protecting you.

Be always safe,
Karen

When you have loved another creature such as Tonga, you know that when it comes your time to 'go Home' he will be there. Although it hurts like nothing else in this world can, losing a loved one to death feels very permanant and it is, but only on a physical level. In spirit, Tonga will never be lost from you. Although I know knowing that doesn't relieve the grief of the now, Tonga will find ways to let you know he is safe and happy. Thank you for sharing this experience through your work.

I know and can relate to the feeling of loss for your little dog. I lost mine in 2003 and still miss Joy my cocker spaniel age 12. She was my all in all now in heaven joyfully playing too with yours.
