Embrace the Tempest
Sandstorms rise darkening brilliant skies.
Never look up, cover up, Oh my God cover up your eyes.
Invisible, stand invisible to the pelting of the sand’s grains’ rains.
Waves upon waves undressing lonely wooden fence post grains.
Unfeathering lost and disoriented birds helplessly flying against its rage.
Now, turn away now, from the siege’s furrowing bow,
don’t look back into its blinding scowl..
The wind's song sighs to you; "open your arms, open wide your arms,"
allowing the sand to cover yourself up, cover you up.
For that which can hurt you when embraced will fill- full- overflow your cup,
The warm and comforting golden blanket of sand that you have embraced,
was made from the tempest of granules that you feared to face.
