Missing Georg
By La Belle Rouge

Iím missing you Dear Friend
your humor, your honest care
the way you seem to shelter
the ones you have adopted
under an umbrella of affection
there is not a waking moment
my thoughts are not with you
and Iím asking your chess buddy
to please let you win this game.

Someone said long ago, "vedi Napoli e poi morire" (you need to see Naples before dying) so I would say "vedi tutti le mio amici primo de morire" (I need to see first all my friends before dying)
For the time being the game ended in remis.

with a bear hug

Belle, since I am reading this two days after you published it, you now know that our friend Georg is home. I know this special message of love and compassion for him will aid his healing. May peace and love be always with my dear friend. Jon Michael

A loving tribute to a fine man. Georg will have so much to enjiy when he rejoins us.

He is surely no Pawn. No, not a Pawn-- irrelevant.
He is a Bishop. He slides diagonally across our minds--penetrates our thoughts.
He is a Rook. A Castle, forthrightly plunging straight into subjects, no matter how daunting.
But he is no Pawn-- spent to make way for royalty.
He is then, a Knight. Moving his "L"-shaped philosophies to counter our poetical movements.
He is both Queen and King. He moves in every direction--moves us in every way, come witty, weird, warm-hearted, or warriorly.
He moves one step at a time. He moves us line-by-line.
And he is no Pawn-- falling friendless-- side-stepping foe.
No, not a Pawn, but a Chess-mate of God.

Play On! --Charlie

In solidarity, Belle.
How could Georg not be well with so much love and support and healing flowing his way?

Darlin Belle, if ever there was a reason for Georg to further need the will to live, then this would be it. Such a beautiful, felt profession of soul-deep friendship and appreciation; of care, concern and constant watchfulness on his behalf. Right here, right now, he will be smiling in his drowse aware that his beautiful Red Queen is facing up to The Master on his behalf - and he will trust her with his game. Sincere and wholly meant. Standing with you in this, Kate xx

You are so right, I have been sending healing energy ever since I heard, I am sure that Georg feels the energy from all his friends here on the Den..I love the fact that you used the chess board in this poem, very good analogy..

Love you Belle,
