The title is pretty self evident (smile)
I say the Revolution wont be televised young brother and sista
It wont be improvised by actors performing street theatre
It wont be captured on the headlines of CNN
You will not be able to point and click to it with your remote control or mouse
While leisurely lounging in the comfort of your own den
It will not be heralded in the coming of the next Lebron James to the Pros
It will not be ascertained through prayer even as you reach deep in to your soul (for the revolution is not merely an internal thing)
It will not appear on the movie screen or MTV
Nor for those of us of a hue darker than blue will there be a recast of it on BET
You see the revolution wont be me flossing in a Che Guevara shirt down 125th street with a koofee hat on my head
Or even me driving a new Bentley through my old neighborhood giving out toys and pockets of bread ( as nice as the gesture sounds)
It will not be found in any book u have read (however profound)
It will not be realized girlfriend when u finally lose a few pounds (and squeeze back into that size four dress)
And fellas it willl not hinge on that bottle of extends that promises to give you a ten (inch penis) at last giving your mind some rest
No indeed it will not be signified in that look of delight when the paternity test much to ya baby momma's fright turns out to be negative (and you are not the father)
And find out all along she was a fake and a snake
And to my studious, so called enlightened folk it will not be symbolized after months of preparation by scoring a whopping 1600 on the SAT
OR dawg when you walk into the club, like 50 pocket full of love, and finally pull that bad bitch we all see on tv
And to all my gangsters out there certainly not after you take that ceremonious ass whooping and finally matriculate into the arms of brotherly, street love (as endearing as this sounds)
And to all my fiends the revolution wont be felt in the thrill one feels after hitting dat pipe or swallowing a handful of pills
No, my brothers and sisters the revolution will not be realized until we at last put our differences aside, collective, ransack these parasitical motherfuckers in the sky, and encourage self determination and free will
Yes, the revolution won’t be televised until you are ready to embrace, erase (the old way of life that is), stand up, and kill for what is real- me

|You said it! Something's gotta give! Democracy (as we know it) is dead and gone! We believe the lies. We bow to the wealthy. We think we can't change. Status quo Status quo Status quo

|Thought provoking. Sooner or later we'll see a paradigm shift in the way we relate to one another, we've been on our way for quite some time.|
