Ninety- Five And Roasting Alive
Summer in the South is beautiful, yet her heat can drop you dead.
Normal is temperatures in the mid 90s and the humidity is so high.
Without the blessing of air conditioners, folks shrivel up and die.
Ever since the Memorial Day flood came which came our way.
The heat has taken its toll as we swelter both night and day.
My basement wall still leans and my air unit lies in ruins.
I pray for relief soon lest I turn to dust and drift forever with the dunes.
