Amos, the Old Testament prophet was a biblical character pointing out injustice. John, the Revelator did the same. Neither were men predicting the future.

From Amos to America

Word came down

To the cows of Bashen

         Fat cows

Screaming demons

         And whine

                  Led away with

         Fishhooks in their mouths

Oppression, obsession

                  Against the needy poor

Just another break in the wall

Turning pink as they fall

         Spiraling down

                  Over the cliffs

                           Into the arms of Harmon

People happy

People dance

         Revenge at God’s right hand

A-team soldiers in the faraway sand

God is on our side

         We are good and

                  They are not

Holy pride and arrogance Batman!

Holyland security and lust!

Out of the sky screams

         The Mighty Eagle

                  Talons spread and sharp

                  Beak hooked and pointed

         No longer freedom’s symbol

Eating the flesh at the banquet

                  The Great Supper of God.

They may not be predictors (Amos & John) but it seems they could take their act on the road. Nice prophetic writing.
