I’m going to take a few moments now
To say what I feel in my heart,
To say what’s running through my mind
To tell you what I’ve felt from the start.
Mummy, you’re like a guardian angel
Sent from heaven to protect me,
You’re like my best friend rather than my mum
You’re everything I ever wanted you to be.
You’re the person I can talk to about everything
And you understand what I go through,
I’m making it through life just fine now
And I owe it all to you.
When times get too rough for me to handle
You are always here by my side,
Making me laugh and making me smile
Telling me everything is all right.
You’ve helped me achieve my dream
And I’ll become bigger, I know,
If and when that happens to me
I’ll pay you back all the money I owe!!!
In the past I know I caused you hell
Complaining about everything I possibly could,
I never knew it was for my safety
I never properly understood.
I never properly understood how much you cared
And broke your rules without a second thought,
Then I’d scream and shout to hell and back
Just because I got caught.
I never meant to ever hurt you
And turn my back on the greatest friend I ever had,
I promise to try and never hurt you
Or ever make my darling mother sad.
I tend to never keep you company at home
It must seem like I don’t even care,
But that’s not even near the truth
Because I miss you every second your not there.
You’re always on my mind every day
And I love you so deeply that it can’t be rearranged,
I feel so many emotions towards you
That words can’t even start to explain.
I’ll always be there for you in the future
Like you’ve been there for me in the past,
And that promise I make to you
Is one that is going to last.
You’re the most beautiful person ever to me
A breath-taking sculpture living right here,
You’re so caring, so truthful and I love you to bits
And always want to keep you near.
I mean all this from the bottom of my heart
I promise you that is one hundred per cent true ,
You’re the best mum in the entire world
And I really, really do love you.
