In My Dreams

I hate this short summary nonsense.

IN MY DREAMS

You inhabit my dreams

     claiming squatter’s rights

          on my nocturnal spirit

Your warmth is my soulhead’s pillow

your laughter – satin sheets of sinless

                         joy on my memory

                              If my sleep is good

you are there to make it so

to give me rest and respite

                                         In the winter-length nights

you are mine again and again

                                                    we are a single entity

                                                           stronger than when separate

                                                            Like weak strands of string

                                                      we entwine and embrace

                                                 to become a rope-strong

                                            line to our salvation

                                   We explore forgotten things

                              we thought we better knew

                         but obviously not well enough

It may never come to pass

in the world of wide awake

              that we share lives again

But for as long as life

     permits me to have them

 you will inhabit my dreams

I love everything about your poem Roger, the tenderness and even the unusual form.

Now, written as a poetic spearhead in paper and yet carrying a message for her that we were given a peek of, hope and reassurance wrapped with a veil of tenderness...

Roger, I could feel your endearing love in this poem..To say make your dreams a reality would be stepping over the boundaries, but I love to step lightly into no man's land..lol

You really need to go get her, this is such a lover's profession, I adore your poem...

I love the format a lot!

Much peace, love and light,

The sweetness of dreams, leaving inhibitions behind to share and love at will til early morning light. Then to repeat it over and over with love growing just a bit more every time. There is such delicate magic in your pen...

Be always safe,
Karen

Considering you are the consummate insane person, I would think you didn't have any dreams and your reality IS your dreams...ed
