Floating on the ocean blue
With my snorkel in the air
Reveling in all that’s new
Right beneath me way down there
I take a breath and dive deep
My bubbles float above me
Near barracuda I creep
They are much bigger than me
Back to the surface I swim
To take in some more fresh air
Them back below on a whim
Trying so hard not to scare
Looking close I spot an eel
Bright green with a gaping mouth
I wonder how soft he’d feel
As he wriggles his way south
Buoyed by the open sea
Effortlessly I float near
A bunch of anemone
With a clown fish swimming near
Startled by a silver light
I see a school of permit
Hovering over coral
I spy a crabby hermit
The sun is slowly setting
It is time for us to go
I thank the sea for letting
Us share in it’s water show
