A poem about waiting for the moment that someone kills...

That Moment

Waiting for that moment

That moment when your heart goes wild

That moment of excitement at its peak

That moment I dreamed of as a child

It will come in only one week.

Waiting for that moment

That moment that teases and laughs at me

Can He know what I plan?  Tell me, please!

What if He is watching me, can He see?

Will He tell the authorities?

That moment has finally arrived

All that remains is an empty shell

I stand frozen solid with fear

My soul I did sell

My moment is here...

...My moment has passed

I begged the judge, "Please, please, please,

It was the voices; they made me kill!"

The judge ignored my pathetic pleas

Now I sit alone in my cell and remember the thrill.
