At least I don't think it's them lurking in the shadows....

I would have come willin’ly
at least I think so Your Honor
them cuffs wuz a mite tight
now I’m sittin’ here
havin’ to listen to
that head doctor
tellin’ lies about me
anybody that wants
to poke around
inside my skull
must really be psychotic
when I finally
get the chance
to jack my jaws
before the bench
I will hereby swear or affirm
as the case may be
that the followin’ is the trout
the whole trout and
nuthin’ but the trout
do help me dog (I’m cixelsyd)
we wuz stackin’ hay
at Sam the Rat Flats
it wuz so hot our brains
wuz braisin’ in their own juice
when way up in the sky
it wuzn’t a bird or a plane
or Pooper-Scooper Man
for that matter
it wuz this great big rock all ablaze
we had heard the lickin’ of flames
before we looked up and saw it
when we did
that boulder seemed
to be standin’ still
while we stared mouths agape
then it disappeared
at an ungodly speed
over the horizon
leavin’ a massive contrail
that stretched from over the mountains
from horizon to horizon
lingerin' for what
seemed like eternity
we looked back
towards the Backbone
to find two puny Air Force jets
makin’ a useless attempt to catch up
that rock made those jets
look pathetic, minuscule and slow
I’m not shittin’ you
Your Honor and you’re not
my favorite turd either
it wuz a giant boulder on fire
flames lickin’ and cracklin’
it wuz way up there but
we’re damned lucky
it kept goin’
instead of touchin’ down
although I wouldn’t be
in this pickle right now
the Air Force never said nuthin’
but I’m tellin’ you
Harry saw the damned thing too
and you don’t have him
locked up too or do you?
you’ve got to believe
me when I say
that this can be taken as Gospel
and that the paranoids
are no longer after me
they’ve got me

Excellent testimony! Just in time for the Mayan calendar twenty twelve to adjust for the apocalypse. This piece would be excellent for open mic night as stand-up comedy. You should record this, Duke! It has a Ray Stevens The Streak beat with Waddie Mitchell humor...great storytelling.

Warmly,
Sage
