I am remembering...the sermon that my pastor preached today. She said we are taught through the word of God to, ...'honor our mother and our father'..., and certainly we should, but we must not forget who is our true Father...Almighty God. I am grateful and will always be eteranlly grateful that I am a Child of the King and that He loved me so much that He gave His Only Begotten son for me that I might have a right to the tree of life. However, I am also grateful that He blessed me with a 'earthly father' who raised me as his own, cared for me, loved me and never hurt me. I will never, ever forget him.

I remember...

A soft, kind, gentle spoken voice

full of wisdom

that rendered advice

for years to come...

So much stronger than the lash...

I remember...

One dream of him

a sweet token of love

reaching out to remind me

from above...

So much stronger than the lash...

I remember...

Blessed Assurance...for me he sang

lusty and vibrant earthly father was gone

but not at all was diminished...the intent

     So much...Stronger...Than the lash

I couldn't help but think of the Scripture which reads "His gentleness has made me great". God is the best father, but many down here are blessed with fathers that are like Him.
