Let me start by stating that I DID NOT WRITE THIS POEM. This poem was written by Andrew G. Trowers, my 7th grade Literary Arts Teacher. His class taught me my initial love for writing. Although my poetry is juvenile in comparison, his work is the standard at which I hope to surpass even this 9 years later. |

Live your life right
Set short term, long term
Goals to achieve
Please believe
Your future to breath
Stay focused, son, advice that’s given
You must be driven
Cherish no wrong, Always be strong
Predator’s eyes focus intense
You should pray for wisdom
Decisions with sense
Let your peaks accentuate your valleys
Not vice verse
Empirical Knowledge
Streets are jail or hearse
Cherish no wrong, Always be strong
Make that one to five
A collage ride
And not a 25 to life
Or none other
Youngin’
Don’t go for self
Support your sister and brother
I know your dreams are like the ocean
Vast in size
You see
Sea-By-Sea
Is how the ocean may be summarized
So Piece-by-piece
Is how you may attain your prize
Please don’t jeopardize
Stay on the rise
Until you reach those Red Skies
Cherish no wrong, Always be strong
