The title might make you think of the song titled Butterfly Kisses...it was just a fluke that I gave this poem that title. |

Butterfly Kisses
Dorothy Krusky
Butterfly kisses
filled with good wishes
‘tis the right thing to do
‘cause your
a special friend
You know I’ll be with you
right up to the end
I’ll give you butterfly kisses
All from your Missus
I pray you find peace
when you are released
And find your way
to the Rainbow Bridge.
Butterfly kisses
I’ll send plenty of wishes
To a faithful companion
You are a true champion
My sad cries you’ll hear
For a pet that’s so dear
One last look up to me
Says, its ok you see.
My body is tired
Time it’s retired
Thank you my friend
I’ll hobble on over
the Rainbow Bridge.
Butterfly kisses…
Written for a faithful companion
of almost 12 years. She has gone
to be re-united with the other
family pets and God.

Dorothy,
How sad to lose a loved one, pets included of course. Today is the first anniversary of my beloved Jack, a beautiful Russian blue cat. He owned me for 16 years. Still miss my guy.
Sorry for your loss.
