As slumber embraced me
My dreams were of you
Even in sleep, I feel your touch
I hear your soft voice in my ear
and your breath against my cheek

How can this man
I have known for so long
suddenly become the very
beat of my heart?

As I breath in your essence
I open my eyes
to find you watching me
with such love in your eyes

You make my heart flutter
as you lean down to kiss my for head
so tender, so sweet
You whisper, "Go back to sleep my sweet'
and I close my eyes
not sure if I was ever awake
are you a dream?
And then as I wonder
I feel you cover me
and kiss my cheek

How could God have kept this secret?
Smiling as we exchanged pleasantries
knowing the joy that was in store
Two hearts meant to be one
Two lives meant to be shared
A love completely orchestrated
by our Father
