Have you ever stopped to think that you are here today because you were the strongest swimmer?

Oblivion, is where I was for all time, before the connection

Stronger than a million of my brothers

I fought for life so I could die

What is this cruel game?

Love, hate, pain, pleasure, why?

Perverse is the pleasure of love's pain

Pain is the companion of love

Love rapes my emotions

I have no choice

Alone in the darkness it takes me

Oblivion was much more comfortable.

I think, so much of what we feel is how we perceive thing...like love, hate, pain, pleasure...we choose...to stay "stuck," or to "experience" and move ahead. Your work is wonderful...always makes your readers feel and think.

Once again, your verses give me pause for reflection, David. Love, hate, pain, pleasure, why? I sure wish I knew the answer to that. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis
