SHE BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN ME
She’s always there for me
whenever there’s a need.
She might not tell me to,
but she’ll at least plant the seed.
I put my thoughts on paper,
so they'll be clear for me to see,
then she helps me refine them,
she brings out the best in me.
She gives me great ideas
she’s always there for me
She’s so understanding
of the me that I want to be.
Just a nudge in the right direction,
sometimes that’s all I need.
She nudges me real good,
she brings out the best in me.
We both write a little,
mostly just poetry,
but when she reads what I write
she brings out the best in me.
We sometimes go out and party
to karaoke at a local pub.
We don’t sing, we only dance,
but it gets us in their club.
She always counts her straws,
when the count gets up to three,
she’ll coax me out to dance,
then she brings out the best in me.
When the party’s over,
my lady gets real sweet.
If I’ve partied a little too hearty
she’ll help me to my seat.
Then she’ll take me to her bed,
undress where I can see,
she’ll nudge me real gently,
then she’ll bring out the best in me.
