Why is it we sometimes, foolishly, let true love slip away?
From that fateful day that we met,
You seemed to know what was to be;
Yet, you knew I was bound by fear,
So, you set out to set me free.
Ever since we met that fine day,
You never, ever did me wrong;
You sheltered me beneath your wings,
As you tried to help me be strong.
I could never count all the ways,
How you mended this broken heart;
The ways you made me feel so loved,
As you had from the very start.
Some say there are no miracles,
That belief I know is not true ;
For I was blessed with so many,
On the fateful day I met you.
You made me feel I was needed,
As you caressed me with your love;
I'm still thankful everyday,
For God's Angel sent from above.
