lulling and luring...

where do i put this aching ardor
the pulsing shuddering fluttering
thrilling thrum of heartstrings
plucked by his masterful mind

i shove it down inside
opting instead for the adrenal rush
more content to hide from reality
masquerading as the feral lush

one heart is bared and beating

another heart is disected before me
arteries chorroded by his love
easily displayed and inspected

side by side they stride before me
posturing posing pretending
