Nothing is worth letting someone abuse us like that and it is abuse when someone can trigger us to that state. Good Riddance to bad rubbage. I like how you write Elizabeth.

Good progression from being intimidated to taking control! You are a beautiful person! Others can not change that!

Elisabeth,
The last line says it all. You can't let another person interrupt you or put you down, you're too good for them.

| My mother used to always say that people who try to build themselves up by tearing down other people are to be avoided. Good slice of life here, too true in too many relationships in everyone's life. Be strong. |

Assertive and empowering; good for you, Elisabeth. Do not let anyone bring you down. It seems to me that such individuals actually feel inadequate about themselves. Love and best wishes,

I think most of us at one time or another find ourselves in or out of relationships like that. It seems like no matter how hard we try or how much effort we extend we can not be good enough to please them...that is when we need to move on and do a self reflection to know we are better than that. Good write Elizabeth.
