A Sonnet Of Love

By La Belle Rouge

Come and let us laugh away
Bitter darkness of our past
Love born to live another day
Let us once more lift a glass
And soar upon enchanted wind
Our wings unfurled and bright
Wounds repaired as spirits blend
'Neath black veil of sacred night
And let my lips thy panacea be
For all that pains brave heart
Bonded fast in love to only thee
Thy strength to me now impart
Found and lost then found again
Where love finished it shall begin

"Love born to live another day" - such beautiful sentiments, Belle, and so true of true love. That which is real endures and can never be lost, only displaced. The refinding of such lips would indeed be most heavenly "panacea". You excel in this sonnet-form. xx

Belle, you have me with lips puckered, moist and awaiting your kiss, a panacea of love. I know the touch of a great kiss and the sense and feel of a great poem. Your poem meets the criteria. The kiss, I will have to hold comment in abeyance until you share it with me. May peace and love be always with you my dear friend. Jon Michael

La Belle, only a fool would fail to share this
Panacea with you. And I like to think that I'm
no fool. Beautifully and lovingly said, my dear.

This is so lovely! The music and words gave me a visual of two angels dancing in the air. Laughter is the best medicine for the darkness of our past. Forgive, and let love into the heart again. If it is true it will always return. Beautiful poem!! Take care, :)

Love, under the best of circumstances, can and will be the panacea for wounded souls. Quite nice, young lady, quite nice.
