This is about wanting to forget the things that haunt us but not to forget the little things in life.

I Want To Forget

The thing about getting older
And start to lose your memory
To forget and not remember
Sounds like an advantage to me.

Everyday I wonder
Why I can't stop thinking
How my life would be better
If I could stop remembering

Why is it that the Past
In my mind keeps popping
The bad memories last
The Present keeps slipping

Where I left a note, a number
Sometimes I just have no clue
Pull my hair out to remember
Going crazy, maybe it's true .

I forget where I put my keys
But the hurt and the pain
The bruised ego and knees
Are all scars I carry in vain.

Find a way to numb my brain
A pill to erase my regrets
Brain wash me, make me insane
Please help me, I want to forget.
