Leaving your body somewhere else
you lay beside me
hoping I'll notice
your hands moved my pillow
closer
to the breast I know well as my own
vacant
until memory starts a murmur
blood stopping for a brief moment
long enough to remind me
of life surging
between restless sighs.
I can smell the heat of brokenness
waiting
for my hands to find you
while I sleep.

When another captivates my mind with their treasured artwork, the out of body experience is wonderful! My heart, soul, mind, and strength felt it all and the images left, created more...

Moved deeply...

Very beautiful, perfect from the first line to the last. An excellent portrait of love, expressed in a moment.

Peace to you dear friend ...
