how this world left its mark on me for eternity and changed me from an innocent child to convicted teenager |
|
As I move on
I was a neonate, cute and gay
In my own world, lived and stayed
As I grew up my world expanded
On worldly stuff I depended
Years passed increasing fights in number
School started hence neglected slumber
My vitality shaped my mettle soon
I was a juvenile escaped ‘til the rising’ of the moon
As gay ’n’ blithe as the summers sun
Forgetting my challenges that had begun
The hand of nature took its toll
From my life my smile it stole
I grew grave, I grew silent
My soul humbled, which was once violent
Now my dignity I harbored in my heart
Erudite the holy lying art
My face displayed a fabricated mask
In worldly tinge I began to bask
This paradigmatic world ruined me
Impaired my eyes to reality
The imperfect beat of my restless heart
Wished to escort me back to the start
But the sand of time falls lightly on,
The other side, saying epochs gone
My blackened soul walks on untrod den ways
Remembering the wean, those merry days
Now those petty fights, likes, dislikes all gone
As I plod through, as I move on
