"What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul."

~Yiddish Proverb

"Need a good cleanse on the inside? Find a funny friend. Have dinner with someone who makes you laugh out loud. See a movie that makes you laugh 'til you cry. You need a bath! On the inside."

~Vicki Hitzges

I am soon to be sixty-five and that could leave me feeling dismal

But, somehow even at this age I find that I still feel downright hopeful

If someone asked my secret which helped me live this long

I would have to say it took many chuckles, a few giggles and finding it amusing sometimes even when things go wrong

You see, laughing is good for the heart because it increases your body’s blood-flow

So if you find something about any situation to laugh about

That can make the miseries go

Laughing releases endorphins, a chemical rush that counters stress

So don’t let yourself cry over spilt milk or let yourself get depressed

Laugh and laugh hard, it’s a cleanser for your soul

So, if you want a happy life then laughter should be your goal

Laugh and laugh hard, it’s a cleanser for your soul

I try to do just that, whenever I possibly can; and my many pets with their many hilarious antics, always try to help me out!
