Dreams

I will never let go of my dreams..................this is a painting my amazing sister, Maggie, did for me this summer! We spent a weekend in Campelot and the gold I took away from that sojourn is priceless!

In life’s bleakest moments,
We cling to dreams like vines to a tree.
Reaching, grasping, holding on tight,
Desperate for some semblance of hope!
Dreams comfort, when we need assurance!
As difficult as things are in the present,
The future holds promise if we can dream!
Dreams inspire conviction and confidence
In ourselves and in the world around us;
Motivating the spirit like nothing else can.
Where would some of us be
If all we had was here and now?
How many of us would survive
If we never dared to dream!
Those who dream are the fortunates,
For they are not burdened
With the weight of a heavy heart!
In dreams, the hideous reality of what is,
Becomes the prospect of what could be!
Dreams are well worth holding onto,
For in a world that is spinning way too fast,
They are lifelines for the soul!

Dreams are indeed a motivator and protector yet we must not ignore the here and now for that is our only reality. Patrick

PS. The picture is cool. I tried oil but I stink. I tried acrylics too and I still stink, it just doesn't take as long to demonstrate.

We have dreams that are dreamt while asleep, then we have dreams that we work towards, or work for, or pray for because, as the song goes: You've got to have a dream, 'cause if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true? Very well stated, Annabel.

Annabel, you are so fortunate to have such a caring sister, the painting is amazing. You are spot on accurate about dreams. It is our soul's way of soothing our minds and bodies, tendering embracing our spirit.

Much peace, love and light,
