The strange figure and skeleton atop the burial chamber of the woman (some say was a queen whose lover was murdered and beheaded by her husband) always drew attention and especially when the inscription was read…

Ah…my love when I found thee here

In the stone tomb of ill used swords

Thy skull but a shallow reminder

Of the bard of my heart’s final words

We as one in life not meant to be

Though thy prose enticed my being

Alas my body was not mine to give

Because of I you now repose unseeing

Poisons of an understanding wizard

Shall soon freeze my body into stone

So I can rejoin thee, bard of my heart

To remain eternally two as one alone…

To thee I  journey

From beyond earthly bonds, the wizard's surly grip, and into infinity's grasp those lovers slipped. Never more to be separated by worldly decision. Gotta love this one Felix. May peace, joy and love be with you my friend. Jon Michael

What an amazing monument and testament to a love that is "unyielding as the grave" itself. I love it when you are inspired by art, Felix; it reaches right into you and produces work that is so compassionate and truly felt. What an empath you are. The wrap of the title and the final line packs a punch in the power of its poignant brevity. Bless you, xx
