Camping With You In My Heart

There’s a little campsite in the country

Near the lake and the shifting sea

I’ll pitch a tent and make a campfire

Wishing you were here with me

A cooler filled with ice cold beer

Hotdogs on a stick and bologna too

Lazy days just to do nothing at all

Except sit around and think of you

I’ll bring along my faithful six string

To sing a love song for the one I miss

Send it off across the shifting breeze

Sealed with a special “I love you!“ kiss

I’ll eat bacon and eggs for breakfast

Don’t worry, my cholesterols just fine

Maybe a pot of hobo stew for supper

Babe and think of you one more time

When I crawl into my sleeping bag

To stare up at the stars so high above

Go to sleep counting on the many stars

like the many reasons why its you I love…

Felix, the emotion you express here is from the heart. It is not possible to create the impression of true love if you have not personally experienced it as you have with the person to whom this poem is dedicated. Bravo my friend. As fine a love poem as I have read. May your days be filled with peace, love and joy.J on Michael

Don't try Pee-wee's recipe for the hobo stew, as it will kill you sure enough...and it would seem to me to be a bit crowded in your heart if you stuck your love in there with you...?e

I love the romance here. Camping is so romantic...especially if you're with the one you love. This weekend my wife and I are taking our little tent down into a nearby canyon to do some romantic camping. Good write Fee.
