| Love gets all the antennae on high alert so that every moment seems like an absolute lifetime and our powers of observation are straining at the bit, noticing everything and magnifying the whole. Such beautiful observations of the natural world around us here as well as crystal rivers of pure and heartfelt emotion that leaves your reader with a sympathetic and totally comprehending sigh. Like a kingfisher's rainbow flash is this joy which always leaves us both breathless with the privilege of having witnessed and experienced it, AND with always the wistful desire for more and time hanging heavy until the next time. | Such a sadness: one that, with all the beauty in the world thrashing at the eyes, still awaits the one who never came or comes. Those beautiful things seem to be less beautiful, and crowd the passionate thoughts with wishes--wishes to share them with "the one". I love this one, Regis. This was such an upbeat poem poem Reg only to have your toe dashed against a rock because what made you all so upbeat was a fading wish. I know exactly what that feels like. This has a real message dear brother and I know first hand the emotions it took to share this. Thank you.

I was wondering what can generate such a joy and when i came to the line "It was a wish of seeing you today" I knew I was at the peak of a beauty mountain, only to fall to the next line " that sadly, swiftly faded like a soundless sigh", then I started listening to the sound of silence for a while before my fingers touched the keyboard. Regis, I truly admire your works and the way you smith the words or articulate verses to create a strand of emotions that can take the reader to heights of elation.

So I click on your poem and read it and all the lines are the same size but then I click to log in to AD so I can post a review and all the lines after the 'holly tree?' line are smaller in size. Is that some PC glitch or are the lines meant to be of different sizes toward the end and I just didn't notice that the first time around? Personally I think they should all be the same size otherwise the appearance is not that good.
I know that you have decided to punctuate this poem and grammatically it seems correctly done but for some reason I am not a fan of all those question marks. I find them distracting somehow. Not distracting to the point where the read is interrupted or made less enjoyable, but just somehow distracting.
Content-wise it is an incredible poem. It's got great imagery and plenty of emotion. And just when I think this poem is entirely dedicated to nature there is a twist in the end. Very effectively done.
The flow is as smooth as a gentle stream on a warm spring day. Such a treat to read this poem. Pure enjoyment. I think it is one of your best!
