My Review – To You

In the stillness of time

How much you’re given

How much is mine

May your words be as a fine wine

That enriches the generations

That are beyond

May your tongue be a flame

To a chosen people

That would ignite the universe

Where peace and love

Honestly do have a chance

To thrive

That every heart may beat

And be alive.

Where lies aren’t told

There soldiers would be bold

Where mothers have babies to hold

And slaves aren’t bought and sold

A place where we never get old.

A sleeping giant awakes

He’ll do whatever it takes

And there SHE waits

With wide open gates.

Naked am I

I only have words to leave

And only love to take.

Very touching and well-written Douglas.
Out of the disembogue of your heart flows
the substance of what is there.
Peace and continued imagination ...

The heavens, we are taught, have always inspired awe, tradition, even salvation. Why? What did our ancestors see there?..
