by: David Lester Young (authors den) " Dedicated to Christine Alwin’s Aunt Flossie, who she adores."....Note: My Aunt breathed life of 100 years on August 1st, I was in awe when I read this beautiful poem David wrote that touched me more than words could possibly say! Photo-left my Aunt Flossie '100' years, the eldest of 8 siblings, my Mom Delores 84 years on the right, she is the youngest and they are the only 2 living of their siblings...Please read this gift~

Aunt Flossie’s Centennial Celebration

Aunt Flossie floats alight in heaven’s graces,

Dancing so alive smiling within her blessed spirit

God gifted blessing in August 1st 1910 birthrights,

When she claimed her family proud inheritance,

Where heartbeats pride follows family generations.

That added special friends in admiration of germination.

Aunt Flossie Happy Birthday from the HeArt of creation

That spreads its wings among gardens of understanding.

Where you have cultivated and shared that special love

That glows within you and grows in others around you

That when they are around Aunt Flossie,

They learn the lessons of warmth and respect

Of 100 years of celebrating life in those Golden years.

That never has tired grey hairs,

But gray hairs springing warm sunshine

In full of life family experience relationship

That cherishes you as this pure saint.

Well, this divine angel

With a mellow mood

With such delightful humor,

With a punch line always there.

So spring alive and share this flowering young spirit

That sails so bright with her wings of extended family.

That want together to share with her

 Their eternal best wishes

With those divine hopes

That she keeps amplifying them

With her good humor declaration

In a smile of living force motivation

To their fullest family power potential.

Where her hair shines so white

 With her brilliant halo personality.

  Happy Birthday Aunt Flossie,

 In a world wide celebration

Of her centennial womb of love

 And pure compassionate devotion.

Aunt Flossie is beautiful, I can see the smile in her eyes...and the glow of skin from laughing all her life. My Aunt Mary was the same, with an Impish glint in her eye. David brought Aunt Flossie to life for our eyes to see. A Wonderful gift for a wonderful woman.

Love and grace always glows and shows, always abounds and sows into the minds, hearts and lives of those who are blessed to come within its radiance. I can only repeat the dear words of others who have found this gem before me, Christine. You are a family of women who exude and extraordinary quality of lightness, peace and love. You are, indeed, lightbearers, and this is a rare privilege to be shown this working through the generations. Happy Birthday, dear Flossie, and thank you for the inspiration which has brought us such a wonderfully alive and vibrant tribute and response. David and Christine, thank you both muchly for sharing. To be cherished is this for certain sure. xx

My grandfather lived to be 104. Born in 1895. Died in 1999. Chased
Poncho Viva, served in WWI. Taught young men and women to weld during WWII. Had nine brothers and one sister. His sister's stage name was
"Patsy Montana". Had a story to tell everyone he met. Was sharp as a
tack till the day he died. He could have been across your aunt - side by side. Such a great and thoughtful tribute to your aunt.
