Oh today is a rainy day

Hooray, hooray, hooray

Rain, rain donít go away

We love you on this rainy day

There’s no sunshine or blue skies today

Instead the skies are dark and gray

But I don’t complain as I watch it rain

I love the sound of the raindrops and their refrain

They announce the end of the summer drought

Once more the rain nurtures the trees and flowers that sprout

I listen to the ode made by each drop that falls

Each with its own love sonnet to present

As it splashes down upon its decent

The raindrops together sing a beautiful ballad for us to hear

These raindrops sing the blues and songs we hold dear

Let not the gray skies make you feel blue

For they help sustain flowers that put on a wonderful display

To be enjoyed even on the cloudiest day

Rain, rain, don’t go away for you bring with you splendor to enjoy each and every day

Yes!Yes! It rained in my part of Texas today and I sat and watched and thanked God for it all!

God is awesome!

I listen to the ode made by each drop that falls,
Each with its own love sonnet to present

A truly wondrous ode, indeed.
