REPOST

I met a Black man today.
He stood strong and steadfast
like an oak in the wind.

When he walked,
he walked with the ancestral
prowess of his his African
King Daddy.

His tall sleek build told the
world of his athletic abilities.
Yet his mannerism and speech
told of his political tendencies.

Oh yes, I met a beautiful
Black Prince today, Who
Was destined to be a King.
Standing, looking and listening.

I finally had to ask his name.
He told me he was the waterboy,
Emmett Till, Paul Roberson, Medgers
Evers, Cleveland  Sellars, Jackie
Robinson, Tyler Perry, Rev.Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr and
President Barack Hussein Obama.

I like this... Wish we could get younger generations
to believe as you and I do...

I love your poem. As much as I like Obama, I'm hoping he gets the chance to have some of his presidential dreams realized.

A MOST EXCELLENT WORK. IF ONLY OUR BLACK MEN REALIZED WHAT THEY ARE...THEY ARE A LEGACY OF ALL THOSE GONE ON BEFORE, WRAPPED UP IN ONE...IF ONLY THEY KNEW AND ACCEPTED THAT RESPONSIBILITY...WITH HONOR! LOUISA, I AM HOLDING ON TO YOUR WORK TODAY...THIS IS ANOTHER KEEPER! AND...I LOVE THE NEW PICTURE...IT SPEAKS, REGALLY!
THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
