I placed my memories inside a book,
so I could come by and take a look.
whenever the need for love struck me,
and tucked away it would forever be.
This one-sided love affair,
never seems to go anywhere.
but this is how it's always been,
and now I am not starting again.
I am tired and I am old,
to be so forward and so bold.
I have gone my whole life without,
and now I live in constant doubt.
So whatever little there is to be,
I hope someday love does find me.
as I’ve placed my memories inside a book,
so when I need some love I take a look.

I think we all have a secret place we turn to from time to time to soothe the soul...
Be always safe,
